Re–formulating Israel’s National Security Doctrine

The tectonic shifts in Israel’s strategic and security environment – ranging from the evolving post-Arab Spring Middle East, through the changing global balance of power, onto the dynamic developments in the military theaters of sea, cyber, and space – require a reassessment and adaptation of Israel's national security doctrine.

To that end, the Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) has established “The Herzliya Forum for Re–formulating Israel's National Security Doctrine”, headed by Professor Alex Mintz. The forum has organized a series of symposia on various aspects of the  national security doctrine, featuring leading practitioners and experts, including Deputy Chief of Staff of the IDF, General Gadi Eizenkot , Professor Uzi Arad, General (Res.) Amos Gilead,  Former Deputy Prime Minister, Dan Meridor, and General (Res.), David Ivri.
